Genie In A Bottle ft. Kiehl’s

Firstly, no we aren’t talking about Christina Aguilera’s hit ’99 song, but we do understand why there was a ‘price to pay’ about this genie in a bottle. Nor are we talking about the blue kind that breaks into a song every 10 minutes, but if this genie did sing, it would totally be ‘Friend Like Me’ from Aladdin. Also, no we didn’t find have to be stranded on an island like Tony Nelson in I Dream Of Jeannie, but we’re pretty sure that the 2000 year old Jeannie (or the 34 year old Barbara Eden) who actually looked like a 22 year old throughout the series, would have used this genie for her anti-aging and radiant AF skin. And for bonus, this, instead of granting us just 3 wishes, it grants our 6 scary and attention seeking wishes we’ve ever had!

namaslay_kiehlsIf you know us by now, you would know how easy it is to go all out and buy that 1 magic product that promises us to take care of our skin or has any of these words on the description: ‘even skin tone’, ‘radiant skin’ or especially ‘oil free skin’. So when Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate with Quinoa Husk Extract hit the stores in August, it claimed to accelerate surface skin cell turnover to reveal fresher, newly radiant skin, while visibly evening skin tone and refining the feel of rough texture over time. It also claims to help in anti aging and is suitable for all skin types. So many functions in this 1 little baby definitely intrigued us and made us quite a bit anxious as well as excited! We OBVIOUSLY had to try it out for ourselves. The correct way to apply it is to cleanse your face at night, apply a big drop or so and follow it up with your favourite night cream. After we got our hands on it, we decided to test it for 2 months to see how long it lasts it was and if it managed to stay consistent with the results it promised us with. By the end of 2 months this is what we had to say!

Karishma: For 4,700 a pop, this product better work. It was an investment we made when we got this and it surely paid off. Im someone who has really oily skin which breaks out easily so I’m really careful about what I choose to put on my face. When I first tried it, my skin felt tighter and it definitely was shining! I woke up to soft AF skin and not like my usual oily self. After 2 months, I’ve barely made a dent with how much I have used so it sure as hell is a genie!

Grishma : With everyone raving about Chemical peels now a days, I’ve been meaning to give it a try but was too chicken. So a product that gives you the same effect but which is also mild/gentle enough for daily use seemed  like the perfect fit for me. Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate has been a part of my night time routine for 2 months now and let me tell you that this is the stuff legends are made of!  As I continued using it, my skin looked more rejuvenated and awake. It works away while you sleep, repairing all the damage caused to your skin by pollution, sun damage, stress etc.  If you are someone like me who is too lazy to go to the salon or if you’re too busy running the world,t his product will give you maximum results minus the time & effort of going to the salon. Just slap it on and let it work it’s magic!

What we really admire about this product is that it’s suitable for all skin types. So the guesswork of whether this product will work for you or not is downright eliminated. We at NamaSlay found it to be a miracle product because we both are so different not only when it comes to our skin types but also our skin issues, what we look for in a product, diet, lifestyle and most importantly our personalities. So the fact that both of us, being the polar opposites that we are were in total agreement (rarely seen phenomena) about the awesomeness of this product is a big statement right there. So we definitely urge you to get this genie home!
