Slay At The Soirée

Your last minute guide to slay at that classy New Year’s party.

So, you just realised that New Year’s is right around the corner. You’ve been too busy to realise that you have had absolutely no time to plan your outfit for that big office party or maybe that soirée at a classy ass lounge where you need to dress to impress. Should you wear that sexy plunging neckline dress and let that office creep stare at you or play it safe and go for a boring dress and be labelled a party pooper? Does this sound like you? If you’ve wrecked your brains enough about this and are frankly, so exhausted that you might just end up alone at your house then this blog post is for you. It’s for anyone else who has absolutely no clue about what to wear to the classy AF lounge party for which you’ve paid a bomb to enter. The recipe to bring out your inner Kim-K-meets-Bond-Woman self is extremely simple; a big dose of Bling + the right amount of Black + a hint of Chemical X = Bomb a*s bitch in the house.

To keep it simple, both of us decided to go for skirts. Grishma kept it super fresh and feminine with the season favourite metallic pleated skirt while Karishma went for the all time classic black pencil skirt. Both of us even decided to opt for black crop tops to make the pieces extremely versatile and easy to style. Grishma’s outfit can be dressed or dressed down, all by adding that Chemical X, in this case choosing the right accessories. By layering her necklaces she decided to  to ring in 2017 with some major Pharaoh vibes!

Karishma on the other hand decided to bring out her inner Miranda Priestly by wearing an elegant embroidered crop top and another season favourite: the cape jacket. The hand embroidered black and gold cape amped up the chic while the skirt definitely highlighted her frame while not giving too much away! The well placed belt too (which she borrowed from Grishma’s hand book) added some curves and still kept it classy.

Grishma opted for shimmery eyes and a bold lip which was fit for the modern day Cleopatra while Karishma went old school too with winged tips, rosy cheeks and bold lips. Are you sensing a pattern here? The biggest key here is to carry everything off with confidence and basically having fun while looking like a boss.
