Your last minute guide to slay at that turnt up New Year’s house party.
Before every new year’s eve, we are spoiled for choices as to where we want to celebrate it this time. Should you hit the hottest club in town and spend your night dancing away? How about a lit AF house party at your friend’s friend’s friend house where your crush is most def going to show up? Or should you be heading out to the classy AF lounge and spend lots of $$$? If you do, then our other post is for you! Check it out here. If you’re anything like us, your decisions are going to be on the spot and you want to be dressed and ready for either! You want to dress to impress but still stay comfy. Like we’ve spoken in our other post, our recipe is simple: a big dose of Bling + the right amount of Black + a hint of Chemical X = Bomb a*s bitch in the house.
There are so many possibilities for getting ready that it can get slightly confusing. Just remember, keep it cool, keep it sexy and keep it comfy. You’re going to be dancing and/or jumping and running around. You don’t want to look like an uncomfortable toad and nor do you want to let anything stop the fun. Make sure your make up is waterproof (you do not want to look like Annabelle after all the sweating!) and your shoes are comfy.
For our first look, Grishma decided to embody a Coachella go-er with her see through lace top and dungaree style shorts. Her all black everything outfit is not only extremely sexy but also incredibly comfy. Her head band adds that little hint of bling and just brings the entire outfit together! If it’s going to be super cold where you’re going and you want to unleash your inner Kardashian, layer it with a sexy fur coat and you’re all set to change your last name! Perfect for: If you’re bold enough to show off your legs and do not mind showing off your bomb lingerie that you spent a lot of money on.
On the other hand, Karishma came prepared for both. She wore a plunging black dress in case she was going to hit the clubs but chose to carry a chill matching jersey in case she decided to head for a house party. The jersey easily fits inside a small bag and once worn, was kept in place with the belt. Her favourite bling earrings make sure that the outfit doesn’t look super casual and can be spotted anywhere across the room (True story!). Perfect for: Indecisive people who like to plan in advance. AKA people like Karishma who have absolutely no idea what TF they are going to be doing on New Year’s Eve.
For Grishma’s second look, she opted for a plunging black and gold glittery jumpsuit. This look is super versatile and super comfy! It can be dressed up or down so it’s definitely a good decision if you don’t know what the night is going to throw at you! It has the right amount of sexy and is mysterious enough to show off your curves but still hide your flaws. Plus, pockets!! Perfect for: Peeps with strong bladders, so that you don’t take what feels like eternity to get out of the jumpsuit to pee!
However, for Karishma’s second look, she borrowed Grishma’s black crop top and teamed it up with hand embroidered high waisted shorts that she herself designed. The great thing about this look is that it’s literally perfect for any occasion; whether it’s a low key chill sesh with a few friends or going all out at a huge house party, a crowded club or a chill AF lounge, the shorts and top combo make bar hopping so much easier! The cat years are just a great conversation starter and extremely easy to be spotted in a crowd (again, true story. It takes a lot of planning to be a short girl who gets lost easily!) Pair this look up with heels or sneakers and it’s still going to look chic AF! Perfect for: Looking super cute while running away from a creep, dancing with your crush or in a polaroid!
